After two failed attempts from other plumbers to fix my leaky faucet, I finally found someone who could solve the problem! Hugo and Sam arrived half an hour earlier than expected and worked very hard for several hours making sure everything was done properly, thoroughly and with care. They actually replaced several things for me in all of the bathrooms in my house in addition to the leaking sink, and it feels very nice to have it all upgraded and not have to worry about anything breaking anytime soon. 10/10. Thanks guys! I appreciate it!
Hugo and the team at King is truly the best in the business!! Hugo is the hardest worker and is determined to over deliver excellence & doesn't stop until the job is done right. From full install bathroom remodels, water filtration systems and mold removal to emergency care on my house, I trust Hugo, Jeff the Owner, Robert at the Supervisor level and the amazing ladies who help direct your calls from the moment they pick up the phone. I trust their work and their ethics. I know I can rely on them and will forever be my go to! If you have any plumbing needs...make them yours too!
Quoted $7,755. Final bill: $12,555 — a 60% increase.
We agreed to move forward with a sewer lining project based on a written quote for $7,755, which clearly described the scope, access points, and installation approach. After spending a half day attempting to place the liner, the company stated they could not proceed as quoted due to “too many twists and turns” in the pipe and required additional access.
They asked me to pay them $4,800 to install 3 new access points required to complete the job. I'm not a sewer expert by any means but I have watched more plumbers than I can count on my fingers scope my sewer lines with extreme precision. It was very hard for me to process their argument that this was "new scope" due to "unforeseen circumstances".
Pipe geometry and access constraints are fundamental to sewer lining, and nothing about the condition or placement of the pipe changed after the quote was issued. The contract did not include any change-order terms, yet we were presented with a significant price increase once the project was already underway.
I also suggested the company that we "split the difference" as this appeared to be their error in quoting the job rather than a true scope change, but they declined and also informed me that I should actually consider this a "good deal" since normally they would charge even more for the additional services they would be providing. Oh - and they were also going to let me off the hook for paying for their wasted materials from their first day of work. Very infuriating conversation....
While the work was ultimately completed, the pricing process felt misleading and left us with little practical choice but to approve a large, unplanned increase. I strongly recommend getting very explicit, written confirmation of all assumptions, access requirements, and pricing change policies before agreeing to proceed.
Price is a bit steep, kind of a “salesman” type process to upsell you. Technician comes out, looks at job, goes back to car, sends details to office, office then calls me (not technician), gives 3 options, the tried to upsell when I made choice. Technician was awesome, friendly, did a great job which is why it’s 4 stars. The whole process just seemed a little “nickel and dimey”
I needed the outdoor spigot (hose hookup) replaced and was charged $350 and it took close to 3 hours in total, but the work was maybe 10 mins. Dude could’ve been in and out of here in less than 30 mins but the process of the office makes it take longer.
