Guitar Center

My experience in this store has been amazing! The staff is wonderful. However Kilgore has gone above and beyond, since my first day at guitar center he’s made me feel so comfortable and answers every question and literally goes above and beyond for his customers. Regardless of what I need he’s always willing to help without hesitation. I have been to many guitar shops, no one compares to Kilgore. Please if you go to this location ask for Kilgore! He’s simply just the best!

I went in February 1st 2026 to the Hoover Alabama Guitar Center location. I went to buy a kalimba and ended up deciding to buy a keyboard as well. Brandon Thomas went to get me a price on everything and took so long he had to come find us in another section of the store. After the manager Brandon Thomas and I agreed on a price for everything he completely forgot about us as in he did not check us out and he did not get anyone to help us. It took him at least 30 minutes to even remember we were there. It took him so long to help us we not only had time to move our car in front of the store waiting on him to help us and check us out and help get us loaded that he forgot we were even there ready to check out. He only remembered when he sent someone to find who parked our car in front of the store. Instead of being offered to check us out then he decided to have an argument over how he was right and we were wrong for waiting 30 minutes to be checked out only to find out that we were completely forgotten about in this store. Brandon Thomas and Catherine his associate thought the whole ordeal was very funny. I did not even want to make music let alone buy anything from guitar center after my experience with Brandon Thomas and his associate Catherine. I felt completely disrespected and I will not come back in that store. Worst experience in a music store ever thanks to Brandon Thomas.

Always a great experience at this store. Very happy with how helpful the entire team is anytime I walk in.

Honestly a 5 star experience. I’ve done a lot of business with them over the last few years. Employees are personable and knowledgeable. Did not have a good experience with their tech however. But I believe he’s been replaced since.
