First Choice Pest Management

We used First Choice for years without any real service problems. Recently, when we had an issue with a critter in our walls, my wife called them to ask if they could help us deal with it. Evidently, we'd accidentally let our service lapse—in itself, not a big deal. We would happily have resumed it. But the woman that my wife spoke with on the phone was rude and dismissive to her, treating her as stupid for not already knowing about the service lapse and repeatedly telling her, "We don't do chipmunks." No attempt to help us get back on board with service, no effort to help us think through or solve the problem—just condescension and unhelpfulness. So, we're going with another company. It's a shame, because we were customers of First Choice for years—but we know there are other places where we can get the service we need without being treated poorly.

I called First Choice, got an answering machine, and left a message. Jerry, the owner, called me back in less than 20 minutes. He was friendly, informative, and quoted me a price that was very reasonable. He said someone would call me the next morning to schedule a time to come out. The woman who called was pleasant, helpful, and was able to schedule an appointment only two days later. On the day of my appointment, the technician, Robert, arrived on time and was extremely knowledgeable about the process and the target critters. He patiently explained where he was placing the bait boxes and why. It has only been 24 hours but so far, I have not seen any additional evidence of infestation. I am delighted that the problem appears to be solved so quickly and the 3-month guarantee gives me peace of mind that if the little creatures return in that time frame, a technician will also return. First Choice will DEFINITELY be my first choice in pest control, should I require this service again.

Their yearly plan is a great deal - we've had a lot of spiders since we moved in, but it has drastically improved just with one treatment! We expect it to be even better with regular treatments. I also appreciate 1st Choice's attention to detail - as they apply treatments, if they notice anything on the property that needs attention that is unrelated to pest control (like a bit of missing caulking in the basement or leaky pipes), they'll point it out and offer helpful advice on what to do. The quality of service and personal touch that 1st Choice offers is beyond compare!
