I had a very disappointing experience at EZ Solution, North Liberty, IA, North Liberty, IA. On 09/12/25, I brought in my laptop for what should have been a simple fan replacement. Even though the issue was clearly explained, the employee insisted I pay a $100 diagnostic fee before they would even look at it. Later, I received a call saying the hard drive supposedly needed to be replaced instead, for nearly $300. When I went back to pick up the laptop, the same employee β who kept his face mostly hidden under a hoodie β seemed irritated that I asked to see the laptop powered on. The moment he turned it on, it made an even louder and more alarming noise than before. Since they couldnβt fix the laptop, he offered to replace it with an used refurbished laptop. On my third visit, I simply asked whether the diagnostic fee could be applied toward the repair cost. At that point, the employee became hostile, raised his voice, threatened to call the police, called me names, and refused to complete the transaction until the owner arrived. I related this sad story to the owner, paid requested amount, and left the place without any apology.
