I was delighted with the support provided the Everlights team to get my Everlights set up and work during an extremely busy period during the midst of the holiday season. Leroy was super responsive and followed up multiple times to make sure all my settings worked on schedule. This is a good product and I am looking forward to more updates and innovation from them with time.
Update:
I received a call from Everlights whom informed me the installing company (who was their dealer) was no longer part of their dealer network due to poor installations and not following up on issues. They also stated that the V3 lights do have issues. Their "warranty" was to offer me 150 feet of lights that I would have to install myself or find another contractor (note I have over 300 ft of lights). I told them that wasn't warranting the material at all and they would not offer 100% of the material to be replaced with new lights. I am not paying another contractor to put in their poor product and get possibly the same result.
Once again they are not providing a proper material warranty and they are not providing any assistance since they did not do any vetting of their dealers (which I had to use to get the extra warranty), so I am just out 7k.
Original Review:
I will preface this with I have attempted to communicate with both the contractor and Everlights directly and while the contractor responds (poorly and doesn't show up when they say) and continues to come out and make small fixes to what seem to be installation issues, the underlying issue is these lights just aren't that good.
I had them installed in 2023 and they have never consistently worked for more than 2 months at a time (And I have never used them more than a couple days around a holiday) without individual lights and sections of lighting going out. Note I have never setup up a true schedule because I have NEVER had the confidence that they will work come the next holiday.
Sections have been replaced, power supply has gone bad (humming really loud), and as of this email, multiple lights are out again and one of the three sides of the house still doesn't work and hasn't in over a year. Many of the lights won't turn bright white so they white is now yellowish.
I have forwarded all of the communications with the local contractor who has openly communicated that Everlights have a major issue with their V3 lights for warranty purposes through their warranty email, their chat which only allows you to request a new quote, their standard customer service web form over 10 times and have received absolutely zero communication back.
So at this time I have a system that is two years old and doesn't work and they won't respond to any warranty claim. If you are in the market for permanent lights, I would strongly discourage you from choosing Everlights.
Like many other frustrated customers, Everlight has failed to respond to our request for a repair. We haven’t had a working system since October, put in a repair ticket in November and now we’re approaching Christmas, with no actual communication when/if our lights will be repaired. We are within our warranty period and have tried getting in touch with someone every few days and recently, daily, but we are always sent directly to an automated voicemail, with the message “rest assured, your request will be handled in the order it was received.” It’s hard to “rest assured” when we have no idea if our lights will even work by Christmas, let alone this entire holiday season. We completely understand a busy season, but why didn’t they anticipate the increased demand at this time and make plans to cover all bases? Hire more people? Why not have a team that only handles repairs? At this point we have googled the issue and figured out exactly what needs to be done, we just need a technician to actually come do the repair.
We’re about ready to switch our system to a competitor, do yourself a favor and skip EverLights. You’ll be ghosted just like so many of us have. You can see in our pictures, we have multiple sections without lights.
I installed these lights 3 years ago on my house and regret it. The first year, the functions wouldn't work. No chase, no twinkle, nothing. They came and fixed. Then i turned the system off for the year and turned it back on for the holidays on year two, well guess what, only half the lights worked. I fought them to come fix it. It had one single light that went out and shut half the system down. Once again I shut the system off till the holidays, and guess what, yep you guessed it, another failure. This time the lights won't even shut off. The whole top streams will only display multicolor, nothing else. Even if i shut the system off and leave power to the lights in standby. The top strand will not shut off. They still display multicolor. I sent a complaint in to Everlights that the system is failing yet AGAIN. No response, no callback, nothing. So i suggest that you spend that extra couple hundred dollars and get Jellyfish lights. My neighbor did and he hasn't had one single problem with the system in 3 years. Worst lights I've ever installed. I can't even remove them without having to replace all my gutter since they drill holes in your gutter to install. Do yourself a favor, don't buy Everlights, i wish i hadn't.
I was very satisfied with EverLights’ service. From the first contact, they were professional, attentive, and answered all my questions. The installation was quick and the team was clearly well-prepared. The lights are excellent quality, look very elegant, and stand out beautifully at night. Plus, being able to control them and change colors so easily is a huge bonus.
I would definitely recommend EverLights to anyone looking to add a special and long-lasting touch to their home or business. Excellent service and great product.
