Edit: Changed my review from 1 star to 4. We had a great experience with Intermountain Softwater today! Our technician had great service and solved the problem quickly. He told us that the problem we had occasionally shows up from the manufacturer, but it was all around an easy fix for us. To their credit, any time we have had an issue, they have been easy to work with. We have not had a good experience with this company and have also had our water softener for about 8 months now. When it was first installed, the installer left two holes in our ceiling and our wall. It wasn’t until we asked them about receiving covers for those that they finally came and took care of that problem. Our second issue so far is that sometime this week, our water softener started leaking at the top. Not sure if it was the change in temperature that caused it, but I would not expect one of these units to be damaged that easily and that quickly (about 8 months from the time it was installed). We have an appointment scheduled for 3 days from now, but our water is not working. If they charge us for that service, I will definitely be fighting it! I followed the steps they told me to bypass the filter, but our water is not working now. I would definitely go with a different company. This one is awful and low quality!

I received some good reviews about this company from friends so I asked for a bid on a new water softener. They explained their product clearly and I felt good about the product. I called to schedule an install and they came the same day and did a quick and thorough job. I am happy to have a new water softener and especially to have the leak detection and shut off valve so we hopefully won’t have another flood in our basement. Their interactions were clear and I am happy with my new system
