A great experience all around. The price was the lowest of three bids. The estimator took great care to understand our needs. The installers were standout. Ivan and Dennis were the best installers we have ever had on any project, not just windows. The estimator came back to make sure all was good and even found small problems that we didn't. He came back a third time with the necessary parts and did the work himself. We cannot say enough good about Energy Exteriors NW.
The team is great to work with. The sales and decision process was easy. The installation team were pleasant, efficient and on time. Communicating with the office was easy and everyone paid attention to our needs. This is the second time I’ve worked with Erin and her team. I’d recommended them highly.
First off - QUALITY WORK! Talk about a team with great communication that truly cares.
This company was truly wonderful to work with from start to finish. The entire team made my family feel supported, informed, and taken care of throughout the process. When our patio slider window unexpectedly shattered, they moved quickly and had the new one installed just in time for the cold holiday season. I can't express how much I appreciated that level of urgency and care.
Our new slider is not only beautiful, but noticeably more energy-efficient which was such a relief going into winter with my 3 young children.
Ryan and Lexi were kind, attentive, and so easy to communicate with. Mike, our construction manager, kept everything running smoothly and checked in regularly so we were never left guessing. Kirill and his crew did a fantastic job with the installation, and their attention to detail really showed.
Erin, the Owner, is exceptional. I love that Energy Exteriors NW is a women-owned business and you can genuinely feel the heart, integrity, and professionalism she pours into her company. They are also incredibly military-friendly, which meant a lot to our family.
I have never been treated so horribly by a business owner.
Not only did she accuse me of lying about my HOA requirements she called me "Sweetie" on a phone call. So disrespectful and outright unprofessional.
I had nothing but constant problems with the work from the third party vendor they contracted out to do the work at my home. The estimate for siding of 1 wall and replacement of 4 windows was $30,000. This quickly ballooned over time as they found issues that needed to be addressed.
When the crew found dry rot in my wall, Energy Exteriors was quick to provide an additional cost estimate to repair. However the crew they had on hand, was SEVERELY unequipped and unexperienced on the appropriate ways to repair it adequately. They took existing insulation from the wall and tore it up into pieces and placed that into an area that required new insulation (which was outlined as a requirement in the estimate) This left the wall, which contained plumbing, severely underrated and not up to code for insulation standards. They then closed up the wall and had to reopen it to do properly which left large holes in and damage on the house wrap.
Then Ryan Damschen, the Vice President of Sales came to my home to inspect, when he opened the window in our living room, it fell out 1 inch. He tried to cover it up and said it didn't move, but when I approached and pushed on the window it CLEARY was not installed correctly. A worker from outside quickly ran up and put a screw in the top corner of the nail fin to properly secure the already set window.
The interior caulking was completely sub-par and now needs to be redone by a professional. The siding underlay was installed all bunched up above the window and the flashing tape had large gaps. All of the exposed nails were either over-driven, or protruding. None of the nail heads were counter sunk and filled and is in-compliant with @James Hardie Board standards.
Energy Exteriors also removed and destroyed my property. During the replacement of the chimney cap, they did not properly measure to accommodate for the existing chimney shroud, so instead of leaving the shroud they destroyed and removed it from my property. Absolute nightmare, and now still have to have a completely new chimney cap and shroud.
Absolutely the worst 'pass-the-buck' mentality with Energy Exteriors NW. I thought I signed on for a professional experience with this company, but they just sent third party crew to do the work. The workmanship is very poor and we had SO many issues during the install. Two of the 4 windows were not installed correctly, one window even shifted out of position when we opened it after install. One of the windows was installed with a missing wheel, and due to the position of the window, they had to remove my kitchen faucet (which is now leaking) to do the repair.
Overly priced and horrible customer service all around.
Despite what Erin Ennis says, this was her company that made this project at our home a nightmare.
My great experience with Energy Exteriors NW started this year at the Seattle Home Show when my wife and I met Eric Gramonte. We had met several window people at the show, but Eric set himself apart by being truly knowledgeable about his products and his demeanor put my wife and I at ease. We set up 3 companies, including Energy Exteriors NW, to come to our home and give us bids to replace all of the windows (13), our French Door, and sliding door. Again, Eric set himself apart by giving us an all inclusive, straight forward, no baloney, and highly competitive quote right off the bat. One other company was over $10k higher! The second was several thousand higher even with the exact same windows, but lowered their price (and content of their offering) to get more competitive with Energy Exteriors NW. They actually, eventually beat their price, but we went with Eric.
We ordered all Milgard Trinsic V300 for the windows and slider and the Ultra C650 for the French Door. Our order actually came in early so our installation was moved up 2 weeks. Raymond, Zack, and the rest of the installation crew were total professionals. Installing windows and doors is a messy business, but they managed to keep our home about as dust free as you could hope and the area around our home was equally tidy. They had the use of our guest bathroom and you could hardly tell they were there. They were quick and efficient craftsman that did an amazing job of making our home and our windows look like a million bucks. The installation took 3 days. We couldn't be happier! Thank you to Eric, Raymond, Zack, and everyone else at Energy Exteriors NW.
