Had a tech come out to look at our Waterboss water softener. I explained to him that the dial for the service/bypass wouldn't turn as it seemed stuck. He hammered on it manually and got it to turn. From that it sprung a leak and he said "I believe it was already leaking from here and that's why you have excess water in your tank" I removed the top a couple days prior and there was no water on the basin rim or anywhere on the floor. He admittely stated he made matters worse and I now need a new water softener. I don't think that was the issue in the first place. From that he had to cut the plumbing to it as he couldn't get the leak to stop. I asked if I would be charged for the service and he stated "yes you will be billed at the end of the month" I'm sure he is good at what he does, but I will not recommend them to anyone in the future as I now have to potentially pay a service fee AND buy a new water softener along with replumbing it.
