It is packed to the gills .
But James ( I think is his name ) took great care of our 2 vacuums . He repaired one really fast. We went to pick it up and took him our second. He repaired that one and it was ready in one day. Prices were good.
I give him a 10 out of 10.
I had vacuumed up shards of a broken plate and one shard was lodged in a hard to reach spot. I dropped in to see if they had any tools to get it out. The owner was able to remove it, showed me where all of the filters were that need to be cleaned (I've had this vacuum almost 10 years and didn't know about some of the spots I should be maintaining) and cleaned out the bristle brush area - all in about 15 minutes and for $5. He said a more thorough cleaning is around $30. Make sure you have cash :) The space is messy so you may want to call ahead instead of just dropping in but he was very nice and helpful!
You don't know how much you need you vacuum until it breaks. James fixed my vacuum on the spot while I waited. He went above and beyond, even fixing a broken valve, and taking the time to replace the belt. I didn't even ask for that, he just did it. You can tell he really enjoys what he does; it was refreshing to see.
The most fun I had all week was buying a vacuum with James! Got a fabulous Titan. Highly recommend buying from him. I am certain he would take care of us in the future if repairs are ever needed. Thanks James!
What a fantastic experience! Finding a vacuum repair shop was something I honestly didn’t have on my bingo card given that in today’s day and age most tech and appliances are disposable/replaceable vs. repairable, that was right up until the moment I ran over the power cord of my year(ish) old Hoover Wind Tunnel. It’s not some fancy Dyson, but it set me back enough to not make sense to fully replace it. I YouTubed how to do the cord replacement and decided it was a little more intensive than I wanted to get involved in, so after about 20 mins on Google Maps I found James.
As previously mentioned, don’t let the collection in the shop deter you; he is friendly, fast, and more than fair. I dropped the vacuum off on my way to work and a couple of hours later I got a text that it was ready. He does close early in the day so I had to swing by the next morning, but for less than $30 I had a new cord, a new belt, clean filters, and everything checked out and tuned up.
Friendly, efficient, hometown service just doesn’t exist like that much anymore more. AAA+++
