Colonial Clock Shop

Have had nothing but great experiences here! Bought an antique clock at an estate sale for cheap because it looked cool, no knowledge of what it was or even if it worked. Brought it to Colonial and Chris knew what it was, what decade, and what it would take to get it going. He fixed it for us and it functioned as our living room wall clock for 2 years. I got sick of winding the thing every day so decided to see if I could trade it in toward one of the clocks he had for sale. He gave me a fair trade in value towards a clock he had for sale. We waited a couple days so he could be sure it was in working order and I picked up what I hope will be our new living room wall clock for many years to come today. Working perfectly so far! We are incredibly lucky to have this store so close, will definitely be going back and recommending to anyone that will listen!

Had 2 clocks fixed here and neither one works. I'm ordering parts for the cuckoo clock to fix myself, I'm afraid to bring it back, took over a year to get them done in the first place. $250 for a rebuild on the cuckoo and it works worse now than it did when I dropped it off. Stops several times a day and chimes 13 times instead of 12? I have never left a bad review for anyone but when you are working on things that are very important to people there should be more care given. No stars!!

Chris came to our home to repair 3 grandfather clocks, one of which was not repairable. The rate he charged us was reasonable. We gave him the innards for the 3rd clock to use for parts. He suggested and battery operated clock to use and a battery operated pendulum for that third clock for which we paid him $100 including postage. This was in the 1st week of June this year. After four phone calls with statement he tested positive for covid, statement he mailed it, was surprised we hadn't received it, and it's right in front of him. He'll get it right out. We learned not to prepay. 7/30/22 The package finally arrived in the mail after 7 weeks and 5 phone calls!

I wanted SO HARD to like this guy, I really did. We brought him 2 clocks to work on....and they were done fairly quick. Brought them home and they worked great.....for a couple of months and then broke down again. Brought the clocks back and he worked on them again and took a long time before he said they were fixed. Brought them home....no. One worked half the time and the other wouldn't keep running, even though it was wound up. Brought them back AGAIN and again, took a while and he said both were working good. Brought them home and one worked but the other stopped working within a week. The other one worked great for a couple months before it stopped....again. Fixed it ourselves and has been working great since then. Clock #2 is still a dust collector on the shelf. Wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.
