Amico Plumbing is great especially Allan for HVAC! I have used them for both my business and my home. They usually come out same day and they are very affordable. They are friendly and I enjoy talking to them while they work. They have always been able to take care of my need or problem quickly. Definitely call these guys!
Get another bid before you proceed with Amico Plumbing in Grand Junction. Spent $23,000+ on residential home. Dan Amico promised I'd be happy. When I raised a concern or issue he defended his "boys" (employees). Said he'd talk to his boys and get back to me. When I made multiple calls and emails and when Dan finally got back to me he'd say his boys told him something different and I was wrong. He trust his "boys" that they wouldn't lie to him. One simple issue was when they replaced all the draining and water lines in crawl space that ALL the material cut out was to be removed. I asked his "boys" when they were done in the crawl space if they removed everything they cut out. They said yes. 1 week later I had to go into my crawl space to set a support beam under my kitchen floor. While I was down in the crawl space I decided to crawl around and see what was performed. Besides 3 piles of neatly stacked material cut out and left in my crawl space the "boys" had pex-pipe hanging and not attached to the floor joist, a roll of pex-pipe material unused and left in the crawl space. A mess to say the least. I brought both issues up with Dan Amico. When he finally got back to me 3 weeks later he said he talk to his boys and they got it all. I told him to come over and see for himself. 8 days later he shows up after I text him 3 times to come over. Dan proceed to tell me on my patio that he's going to go into my crawl space and look for himself. Then he tells me, "Don't make me go down there and find nothing there." thinking his boys cleaned it up. I saved him the dirty trip into the crawl space by showing him 3 pictures I took when I was in there. Honestly, there were much bigger issues than cleaning a crawl space. If someone can't perform what they say they'll perform, don't ask them back. I recommend to anyone thinking of doing business with Amico Plumbing, do yourself a favor and find someone else. There's plenty of good quality plumbing companies.
Previously gave the Amico folks 5 stars for their work, but recent events prompted a change. We have used the folks at Amico a couple of times previously and had great results. This time – not so much. Our furnace motor went out in mid-December and while they did respond quickly to investigate the issue, things went downhill from there. We needed a new motor, and it was estimated it would take 4-5 days as it needed to be ordered. The original motor then burned out the next day. What was estimated to take 4-5 days took almost exactly 14 days due to shipping issues. We understand this was out of Amico’s control, but the only updates we g... What was estimated to take 4-5 days took almost exactly 14 days due to shipping issues. We understand this was out of Amico’s control, but the only updates we got occurred when I initiated the call (and sometimes I needed to call 2 or 3 times to get a response). Not only that, but when the motor did finally arrive in town mid-day on a Friday, it wasn’t installed until the following Tuesday morning. When it’s the middle of winter and your house is 53 degrees 4 days make a huge difference!! While the tech was excellent at his job, he never called with status updates even though the office said he would. Currently unimpressed.
