Previously gave the Amico folks 5 stars for their work, but recent events prompted a change. We have used the folks at Amico a couple of times previously and had great results. This time – not so much. Our furnace motor went out in mid-December and while they did respond quickly to investigate the issue, things went downhill from there. We needed a new motor, and it was estimated it would take 4-5 days as it needed to be ordered. The original motor then burned out the next day. What was estimated to take 4-5 days took almost exactly 14 days due to shipping issues. We understand this was out of Amico’s control, but the only updates we got occurred when I initiated the call (and sometimes I needed to call 2 or 3 times to get a response). Not only that, but when the motor did finally arrive in town mid-day on a Friday, it wasn’t installed until the following Tuesday morning. When it’s the middle of winter and your house is 53 degrees 4 days make a huge difference!! While the tech was excellent at his job, he never called with status updates even though the office said he would. Currently unimpressed.
