Just had our insert installed today and the whole experience was solid from start to finish. The crew was friendly, helpful, and clearly knew their stuff . They really ... stoked my confidence that everything was done right. I’m feeling pretty.... fired up about the quality of the work. The inspector comes tomorrow, but honestly, I’m not sweating it, if anything pops up, I’m sure they’ll handle it. Even in the short time I worked with them, they made me feel valued and appreciated, which really warms my hearth. Fabu experience. This company keeps the good vibes burning.

After years of hiring amateurs and unknowns, I finally wised up and hired the pros. And I’m glad I did. Albany Stoves is a family-owned and -operated business. Two brothers in the family came by today to clean the chimney flue, which in the process involved removing and reinstalling an old fireplace insert. They approached the task with aplomb and total professionalism. First off, they arrived on time, were courteous, cheerful, and conscientious about not making a mess on my floor/carpet, even removing their shoes at the door. They also placed several tarps on the floor/carpet to protect it. Second, during and after flue cleaning they did a thorough inspection of all chimney structures, woodstove insulation, etc., and even retrieved and reinstalled one of the chimney caps on the roof that had blown off in a storm—an “above and beyond” service I wasn’t expecting! Finally, after reinserting the fireplace insert, they conducted a draft test to ensure the flue was properly pulling up smoke from a fire. In addition, they cleaned the glass windows of the fireplace insert itself, another nice surprise and something I wasn’t expecting. As if all this wasn’t sufficient, they actually told me upon leaving that I could probably go for two or so years before the next flue cleaning--unlike the usual chimney service that makes a once-year cleaning seem mandatory and dangerous if you don’t. The honesty…amazing! I highly recommend this business and will be calling them again in the future.
