This should be MINUS 10.
They tried to upsell us. I was willing to listen. Called sales twice. Never called back.
Had someone remove the actively monitored alarm and finally heard from them 24 hours later that they were not getting a signal.
CAN’T GET WORSE THAN THIS!
UPDATE: IT GOT WORSE! 2 months later the owner replied to this review! Did they think I would jump at the opportunity to sign up with them again?
Very rude customer service in the service department. The woman I spoke with was cutting me off every sentence with "mhm" before I even finished any sentence, I felt like she wasn't listening at all. And she was very condescending when I needed help. I think I have to look to a company with friendlier people who enjoy keeping homes secure.
Alarm New England refuses to service my home alarm system, despite the fact that the system was installed by Associated Alarm, a company they recently acquired. In short, they won’t service a system they installed unless you pay them monthly monitoring fees. Their supervisor has not returned my calls.
Update 8/14: owner responded saying they cant give me the installer codes to access my system (she claims they don’t have the information because the system was installed long ago). Her suggestion was to find someone to install “new control panels and troubleshoot from there”. It seems the only thing that interests this vendor is collecting monthly monitoring fees. If you cancel with this company it would seem that the only alternative is to install a new system with another vendor.
This industry/supplier will go away and be replaced with new wireless technology that seems to provide comparable product at lower prices and is significantly more user friendly. Good luck to these guys but I wouldn’t go anywhere near them if you want an alarm system.
It’s our first time calling this company for service since they bought out Associate Alarms and we’re not happy with them so far. We had to have service done on the system and we requested Dave, the technician who’s worked on it for years via the former company but instead we get a technician who’s not familiar with our system (not the tech’s fault) therefore doesn’t have the parts that’s needed to complete the whole work order.
So now we had to reschedule another appointment to have Dave come out to finish the job.
This could’ve all been avoided had they’ve done what we asked and had Dave come out the first time around.
We’re just so annoyed with customer service these days because we have to shuffle our schedules around to fit these appointments in. When that day comes you’re thinking, yay that’s one thing off the to do list and then it doesn’t happen and you have to reshuffle your schedule all over again, UGH!
Our security installer was outstanding. He took the time to explain everything about our security system to me and also recommended additional security services without any high-pressure sales tactics. He also thoroughly inspected all the equipment we have and made sure everything was working properly. One of the best professional service experiences I have had in recent memory.
