This review and stars are in regards to the folks at Advanced Chimney Techniques. I met and spent some time with them at a recent multi day training class at the Travis Industries house of fire factory. I'd say Cedar has great knowledge of and passion for the fireplace and hearth industry. He has a good crew of guys that seemed very interested in gaining knowledge and experience in their field. I would definitely give them a call for your fireplace needs.
Got a consult and was told they were a month out on work. Within a week they started calling with open dates to move up the work. Work was done in under two weeks from original consult. Guys did fabulous work. They also pointed out areas outside of their expertise that I needed to look into which I appreciated very much. Highly recommend!
I spoke to a man on the phone about getting 1) the fireplace insert replaced for my mother as the blower no longer works and 2) purchasing a wood cook stove or a wood stove with a flat top that she can put a kettle on. The man was very nice and he told me that we should come out to the showroom and pick out what we would like. Drove to a little tiny town in the middle of no where with my elderly mom so she could pick out the wood stove and cook stove that she would like. There were 2 women in the show room. One was helping a couple and the other was sitting at a computer. The woman helping the couple gave us a pamphlet to look at and told us we would receive help in a minute and to go sit down so we did. We sat at a table and walked around the showroom and my mom picked out the wood stove and the fireplace insert that she would like. After an hour of sitting and waiting within eyesight of the desk would never come to help us. I called on the phone while in their showroom hoping to speak to the man that we spoke to on the phone and the computer lady who answered the phone and could hear us and see us in the showroom talking to her on the phone asking to speak to the man from before. He doesn't work there any more - he is retired. Well he answered the phone 2 days ago! We are in the showroom. I explain to the woman while in the showroom talking to her on the phone that my mother cannot drive after dark and we are waiting in the showroom for over an hour. She then says after we have waited that long that we needed to make an appointment if we want help. So I would like my gas money back and the 3 hours of my life driving there then waiting then having to drive back home back. I d o not see how they have any good reviews at all.. If I could leave zero stars or negative stars I would because they gave zero about us. I never leave reviews but in this case make sure you make an appointment!!!! and if someone tells you to drive the the showroom be prepared to be sent away with no help.... and also the guy who answers the phone does not work there so when he says drive to the showroom don't count on getting any help. They must be super rich and do not need the money because they missed out on 2 large orders and she picked out the biggest wood stove and the fireplace insert with no help from anyone - which we are not going to buy plus installs because no one really works there.
