43rd Street Computer Repair

I read the reviews for this computer repair place and anytime I check out someone I go by the majority of favorable reviews instead of the bad ones. I took my laptop to 43rd street computer repair and they were excellent so I don't really understand what the two people with the bad reviews were talking about. My experience with them was wonderful, helpful and they knew what they were doing. My laptop was running slow, had a lot of malware and was pretty much acting up all around. The owner checked it out, cleaned it up and installed a new anti-virus that works so much better than what I had before plus added another gig so now it runs smooth... Read full review

To be clear: I've taken my computer here several times, and this was my first bad experience, but it was enough that I won't be returning. My original problem was that my PC failed to boot. About a week later, Martin calls to tell me my motherboard is dead and they will need to send it to the manufacturer. Nearly two weeks go by with no word from the business. Finally I call them, only to have them tell me that the vendor is a "hassle" to deal with, and that I would be better off buying a new motherboard. I talked to someone over the phone today and asked if they do GPU repair. Whoever was on the phone was rude and treated me like I didn't know anything, then said he was too busy and hung up on me. I'm literally an automation engineer for amazon... I just don't feel comfortable replacing a chip on a GPU myself because I haven't worked with them before. He sent me a text with his business info and I told him I'd take my business elsewhere. He told me that first I "talked to him like I was dead" and then "didn't respect him when he said he was busy."
