The Wire Guy Electric

I had a great experience with The Wire Guy Electric here in Tempe. They came out to fix a lighting issue and diagnosed a failed ballast. Instead of pushing a full fixture replacement, they professionally rerouted around the ballast and converted it properly so everything works safely and efficiently. They were on time (early, in fact), explained the solution clearly, and left the area clean. The $195 charge felt very fair for the service and expertise. If you’re looking for a reliable, licensed electrician in Mesa or the Tempe area, I highly recommend them. Honest work and no upselling--just solid electrical service. Call 'em! =)

Update (Feb 2026): Had them come back out for a different project! Still highly recommend! 5 stars!!! This time Blake came by to install a new outlet and was just as excellent as Rhett back in November. He was just as polite, personable and very knowledgeable. Highly Recommend The Wire Guy Electric! The Wire Guy Electric is officially my go-to! From my first call to my completed installation, I had an excellent experience with The Wire Guy Electric. When I called to ask about having outlets installed above my kitchen cabinets and on two other high ledges, I spoke with Emma. She was extremely friendly, helpful, and professional, and she was able to schedule an appointment for the very next week. The time window was 10–12, and the electrician Rhett called when he was on his way and arrived right at 10:00. Rhett was polite, personable, and very knowledgeable. I explained what I needed, and he quickly assessed the situation and started working right away. He even took the time to look at what had been left on top of the cabinets by a previous owner and found a way to use what was already there. Because he didn’t have to fish a wire through the wall, it actually saved me money—which I really appreciated. The job took a little longer than expected because one of the outlets turned out to be more involved than we thought, but Rhett answered every question I had and still managed to finish all three outlets plus a fourth one with the remaining time. Overall, it was a great experience from start to finish. I will absolutely be using them again for more electrical work in the near future, and I will definitely be requesting Rhett. For some reason the power going to our custom built-in entertainment center went out. The circuit breaker had popped, but when I flipped it back on the power didn't come back on. That was the extent of my electrical know-how. I actually replaced the breaker as a hail Mary prayer to try and fix it, but that didn't do anything. I found The Wire Guys on Offer Up. Short version: they fixed everything. I got a bill. I thought for sure they had made a mistake because it was far far less than I expected, so I called them to fix it. I told them if that was the correct price, I wanted them to text me links to everywhere they wanted me to leave a review. It was correct and now I'm leaving this review. I could not believe that the young guy I had been dealing with was the owner. What a great thing to see, someone that age making good money and doing a damn good job at it. I have since referred my sister to them so they could diagnose and fix the awful job her electrician did (that resulted in a small fire) and she was super happy with them as well. I'm leaving this review about 8 months after the fact, but good karma is always welcome, so that's what I'm creating here. Thanks y'all 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
