AVOID AVOID AVOID. Steer clear of these guys. They will charge you $80 just to give you an overpriced job quote. I had Steve's Plumbing (The Jogging Plumber) come bid a job for me to replace a water heater that went out. Before they came, I removed the old unit and new supply lines were installed by the plumber who helped me remove the leaking tank. The new unit is ready to set, with all wiring, water lines ready to go, and an easily accessible work space to access. They quoted me $4,783 for a tank replacement. The 80gal water tank, pan, expansion tank, and hardware add up to around $1500 on the high side, leaving $3200 left for labor. Several plumbers since told me it'd be a 2-3 hour job -- so Steve's is essentially charging $1094.33/hr. when the average going rate for a licensed plumber is $150/hr. I can't speak to their actual work but from other reviews here, I'm guessing it's far from top notch. Some of the other plumbers I had quote me for the same job were $2,500 less. One said they'd done several reworks behind Steve's jobs as well. Jog in the other direction and call Natural State, Kramer, or Anderson's.
