I took an old (early 1900’s wedding gift to my grandparents) French clock to them that hadn’t been working right for decades and had several poor attempts at repairs over the years. I had given up on it ever working properly, but Jim worked a miracle. The first time I heard it strike the hour, I almost cried—I hadn’t heard that sound in years.
Have a watch that I inherited from my uncle. The band holder broke and I couldn't find anyone to take a stab at the repair. Went to Standish and they knew the watch and were able to take apart the case so I could bring it to get the holder soldered back on for the band. Recommended Beckers Jewelers in WH to do the repair. Watch is still holding the band and the watch still works correctly.
This vintage Omega was given to me as a gift over a decade ago and in the time I've had it it has rarely ever left my watch case as it was in disrepair and not functional. Over the years I've taken it to several jewelers in the CT area who have all but laughed me out of the store with either exorbitant repair costs, incredibly lengthy turn around times, or my personal favorite "won't be worth what it costs to repair". That was until I met the gentleman at Standish Clock & Watch Shoppe. I immediately knew I was in the right place when their interest and excitement at the prospect of taking on a tough job was genuine and palpable. The quoted price for repair and turnaround time was the fairest I had ever received and I simply couldn't be happier with the results. I will never recommend another business more highly for all my horological needs, thank you Standish!
