I have an Apple iPhone 14 Pro, and many months ago the glass in the back of it broke. I went to Smart Fix, where they said they could fix it for an affordable price. When I picked it up several hours later it seemed fine, but I noticed that it could no longer fit into my phone case. I went back to Smart Fix the next day, where the associates told me that they would try to adjust the glass. However, the problem remained. When I asked them why, the associates said that the back glass and glass camera mount two separate parts that were no longer available for my phone model. After several months of my phone popping out and/or breaking subsequent phone cases, I went to a different vendor where I found out that 1) the back glass and glass camera mount are one piece, 2) they would be able to fix it, and 3) Smart Fix had scrapped the sides of the phone where the glass meets it. My phone is once again able to fit into its designated phone case, and I realize after months of unnecessary frustration that Smart Fix had lied to me. If they were honest from the beginning then I wouldn’t be writing this review. However, given their dishonest track record my advice is to avoid this vendor. Update: Reading the store’s reply to my review, it is unclear whether or not they understood my concerns. 1) Their associates LIED to me about whether or not my phone could be fixed. The attendant at the front desk said that the parts were no longer available. Because I trusted them, I did not look into the matter further after asking them to make initial adjustments. The associates didn’t even tell me about any warranties or money-back guarantees, so this notion that I should’ve taken advantage of opportunities that weren’t even made known to me is farcical. Otherwise, I would’ve been happy to use them. 2) The associates had incurred damage to my phone without alerting me, which is another form of dishonesty. If the individual who replies to these reviews has an issue, then address the core problem. If your associates are dishonest and/or not working to your standards, then correct their behavior. Otherwise, the work that you stand by is dishonest and sub-standard.
