This is a fantastic business and we are so lucky to have them in Burlington. I buy all of my Apple products here, and the service is great! I just purchased a new MacBook Pro with the M5 chip. I use this for my business and they transferred all the data from my old MacBook Pro in just a few hours -- seamless. Keep up the great work!
Had an issue with my partner’s iPhone 16 Pro Max LIDAR sensor. Brought the iPhone ina nd they ran tests. It passed them all but still didn’t work. They recommended wiping and resetting the iPhone. We did that at their store. Resolved the issue! Very helpful and knowledgeable! Note to people reading this review, you should always have a current backup of your iPhone or other devices.
My 2017 MacBook Air completely crashed while on vacation. Having several backup program options, I took it to a nearby Apple Genius Lab only to have them sell me a new one but with no real solution for restoring decades of business and personal records. Upon returning to Vermont I contacted Small Dog. Gabe was very empathetic and understanding. He suggested their tech team extract what they could from the old Mac and make it available. I then made an appointment with Nate to see what might have been salvaged and to have the results download to the new MacBook. One important group of files was first successfully transferred but an even more important file was not to be had. Nate went to work on alternative, creative solutions to retrieve the lost files. Three hours later Nate was 100% successful in making me and the data whole again! Hats off to Gabe and Nate! With Vermont’s small population, we are very fortunate to have Small Dog Electronics available to do the job that the Big Dog Apple failed to do! Thank you guys!
I am extremely frustrated with the service I have received. I took my MacBook in for a battery repair and was informed that it would take 5-7 days seeing as they had to send it out to Apple. It has now been 2 weeks and I have not heard anything. I called in for an update and informed that they are unsure of the status but that I could expect an update in 2 days. I never would have left my computer with them at this time had I known it was going to be at least 2 weeks before I was able to pick it up. In addition, when I asked what they were gonna do to make this right after I paid $364 for this repair, the employee just said “you’ll hear back from us in two days.” Overall, extremely frustrated and disappointed at how this repair has gone!
When my new Mac screen went black I went to the big box store to get it fixed. I was told it would take 2-4 weeks as they would have to send it out. I reached out to Small Dog on Friday towards the end of the day. I had an email Monday afternoon it was done. Shame on me for not using a local company first. Staff was very friendly and as you can see got my laptop back to me much faster. 3 days vs 2-4 weeks! I would recommend giving them your first try before using a big box store.
