We used this service for a while, and they are wonderful to work with. Very kind and understanding. Easy to talk to and explain things. Small business is small business and sometimes things come up, like weather issues. It’s understandable and I’m happy and proud to support small family businesses! Thank you for your service! I really appreciate it!
We’ve been using this pickup service for a few years. Recently they supposedly had all of their pickup vehicles break down at the same time (weird coincidence or just bad luck) and most people in our area were not serviced for three weeks. The updates on when the issue would be resolved felt inconsistent. We just received our invoice and no one was credited for the costs of their missed pickups, meaning we are all paying our full service amount, even though pickups were missed for nearly a month.
As someone who helps operate a small business, I am very understanding that unfortunate and untimely situations happen that we have no control over, but I still feel like it’s the responsibility of a business to pick up where they fall short, especially when it has had an effect on the customers like this situation did.
We shouldn’t have to pay for services we didn’t receive. $90 every 4 months means approximately $5-6 per week. If they credited for what they missed (approximately $15-18 for three weeks) it would show accountability, but I’ve read on a some reviews that they’ve refused this.
Overall dependable and cheaper than other pickup services in the area. There’s even been a time or two where they’ve walked up to grab my can when I forgot to set it out. However, I felt like this situation could have been handled differently on the customer service side. How a business responds when things go awry speaks volumes.
August 2024: They haven't picked up our trash for 3 weeks now. They claim that all of their trucks are broken down. Really? All at the same time? All for 3 weeks? They cannot tell us when it will be picked up, nor are they willing to give us a refund for the 3 weeks missed.
No proactive calls with estimated times for pick up. No good answers from staff, when we called for updates. Just stinky trash sitting out at the road for 3 weeks.
We called today and got nowhere again. No credit for 3 weeks lost. No refund for prepayment through September.
We ordered services from someone else today. Terrible business practices
Talked to the owner about their truck leaving broken glass, other customers garbage, and huge puddles of liquid refuse at our driveway. Simply asked that when they pickup, to clean up the mess they make before they leave as it would only take a few seconds to do a quick sweep. The owner informed me that he's not going to have his drivers clean up the mess they are making, there's no room on a truck for a hand brush, broom, or even a dustpan (even though this one drives alone and there's an open passenger seat)... and we should find another service. Recorded the call for proof. To be clear, HE KNOWS his trucks are leaving broken glass, dumping solid and liquid garbage on the road where they pickup, and he refuses to do anything about it. He even bragged that he's been doing that for 10 years. Other services don't do this. I've personally watched their trucks pickup my neighbors trash and none of this happens with them. Luckily we have another service setup now. Would avoid this place at all costs.
Sid’s garbage pick up is great. I’ve had his service for almost two years now. He has never missed a day. He’s always professional, and does what he says he will. I’ve forgotten to put my can at the road multuple times, and he always comes and gets it out of my drive way. He’s affordable, and lets you pay for one or three months of service. A few people have tried to skip out on paying, and make him look bad when he wants his payment. He’s a good and honest guy. I would recommend him to anyone.
