All I can say is WOW!!!! If I could leave a 10 star review I would! This place is absolutely amazing! He is so friendly and helpful. I won a Movado watch at an auction and wanted to surprise my husband with it. It needed a battery so I found Sam on google. He was a little over an hour away. I took it to Jared’s but they wanted to send it off to replace the battery. Took it to Sam’s, he did it in less than 5 minutes and the price was sooo reasonable!!! Was well worth the drive, he was very helpful on how the watch works…what to do and what not to do. Will definitely be going back with my other watch needs!
I brought a watch here to have a lume marker re-glued. I’ve done this once before and believe I paid around $60 at a different shop and it took about a week, so that was my expectation for this shop.
I kid you not, I dropped the watch off at something like 10:15 and the owner called me maybe 30 minutes later and let me know it was ready to be picked up! And it was only $45 plus tax.
AND when I inquired about a replacement NATO strap(mine was looking dingy) he just straight up gave me one. This is my new favorite strap.
I will definitely return here and have my other watches serviced and am recommending this place.
Sam is a really nice guy who is very knowledgeable on his watches. Did not feel pressured to buy a watch by him, even though I ended up buying one. Great prices and would highly recommend shopping here. 10/10 experience.
I brought in my Vintage Longines 23ZS, he told me it would cost about $250 (which is a reasonable price, Longines themselves would've probably charged around $500 and taken longer) to get a full service, without polish. Which I requested without polish due to sentimental value since it belonged to my Grandpa and Great Grandpa. He respected that request with no problem.
He told me it would take about 2-3 weeks, and he managed to get the watch back to me in a week and a half. It looks very clean, and I can finally let it run without worrying about all the years of wear and tear my family has put on it. I'll be wearing this in my rotation of currently 3 watches, and make sure to do proper maintenance when necessary.
Also, I requested pictures of the movement so I could send them to Longines and figure out the exact model. He was able to give me a picture of the gorgeous 23Z movement and the serial number on the caseback, which I really appreciate.
I'm planning on coming back around January when I get a metal bracelet for my hamilton khacki mechanical so he can fit it to my wrist professionally. I'm very satisfied and he really appreciates his customers. I haven't been to any other watchmakers in Chattanooga, but I'm looking at the other reviews, and he seems to be the best in town.
