Iits been a few hot summers ago, I called these people to check my air because it was leaking. In hopes of repairs. My AC was not very old. He acted like it wasn’t fixable and I needed a whole new install. He wanted me to finance a new AC unit.of course you won’t con me for a commission. At that point I was discouraged so I brought window units. Anyway I’m happy to say that there are honest people with small businesses that aren’t trying to rob you and understand that it’s hard. He replaced a fuse and cleaned a pipe and AC stop dripping and blowing and working just the same as when it was first installed. River City has some dishonest folks on their team. Be careful! People don’t care.

I called because my AC unit went out after a lightning storm. They did not come within an hour. The technician was professional but hard to understand. The AC part was under warranty but they wanted to charge over 800 for just the install! When I called to ask why the install fee was so much, I was told because the installation, the warranty paperwork and "they tack on extra money" (exact words). Turns out we were able to get the part installed in less than an hour with the company that installed the original unit (I did not know that company prior to calling River City) and labor as well was covered. When I asked to speak to the manager about the costs after canceling, I was told that they charge so much because they don't always get their money back from the manufacturer on warranty parts... So were you going to send me a check back after you got your money back? No. Taking advantage of people. I will never recommend this company to anyone!
