Precision Garage Door of Austin

I had an issue with a broken spring garage door on December 20, Saturday. As I searched for repair, this company came on top (sponsored result) and good reviews. I was set up with an appointment on same day. Cost for quote was $75. Patrick showed up. He measured a few things, and then gave me a quote of ~ appox $3200. I told him that is too pricey, and I just needed the repair. He then gave me a quote of $2200 approx. He showed this to me on screen for rollers, spring coil, etc. It seemed very expensive to me. My door was just 1 to 2 feet above ground, and I asked tech if he can drop it down. He replied he needed to do some work, and it would cost me $170 (waiving fee of $75). I thought this was all very sketchy and he just wanted to make money off me. My neighbor took 5 seconds to pull a wire and garage door dropped. PLEASE STAY AWAY. This is unethical to not even help slightly charging for a service call of $75. I got my garage door fixed by another reputable company for $600. THEY ARE HERE TO TAKE YOUR MONEY. Attached are pictures. I would give them a zero rating if possible. UPDATE - Today is January 5, 2026. No follow up from company, although they say they will reach out. NO RESPONSE.

Precision Garage folks are great! They were prompt in arriving and reviewing my needs. They were able to accommodate my needs for doors with a custom height. The estimate was reasonable and the time frame for installation was too. The technicians, Landon and Prospero, were thorough and professional. They explained the features of the doors and openers and answered the questions I had completely. And finally, they completed the job in one day and left my place clean! Kudos to Landon and Prospero!
