As a full-service company, they roll in various costs into the price of gas (labor, customer service, financing). They are fairly upfront about this. I have been with them for a year, and I admit I find them extraordinary. I have been going through some financial difficulty but I have never received anything but flexibility and compassion from them. I recommend Petro earnestly, and I believe they provide a quality service that is worth paying for. I feel much better relying on them than having to hunt for cheapest fuel every few weeks. The technicians that they have working for them are all upstanding — I have had the pleasure of meeting several (Matthew, Alphonse) and they inspired trust and behaved like thoughtful individuals you'd trust accessing your cellar. The salesperson who signed me up, Josué, explained the contract and terms in great detail and a year in every contractual term was explained and followed not just in practice but also in the spirit. The phone representatives (from the company MyEnergyAccount) are also very easy to work with, with special notes for Paula, the supervisor. I am name dropping because every person I've interacted with has left a good memory, and has represented the company and its purported values (of service, of helping you keep the hearth of your home) very well. The difference in price is more than made up by the reduced anxiety of dealing with the weird utility that is heating oil. As an autistic person, I appreciate that they interact with me very well, very clearly, and that they factor my needs into consideration. Every person I've encountered from this company speaks precisely and with cognitive responsibility — they feel like they have to explain themselves to you and like they have to make sense. Their explanations add up and are consistent. In my experience, this is a very good company, and there are other companies out there that treat their customers very differently.
