⸻ I went to the store to have my computer software restarted. They quoted me $75 for a check and $179 per hour for work. I told them it was too expensive since my computer isn’t even worth $200. I refused the service and took my computer back from the receptionist, but a few other people came out to look at it. My English is limited, but I kept asking, “If you fix it, it’s only $75, right? Just $75 for everything?” The man agreed, took my computer and money. Later, he emailed me saying I had to pay $179 for one hour of work. I felt scammed because I clearly said it was too expensive from the start, yet they still took my computer. After negotiating, I agreed to pay an additional $100 to finish the job, totaling $200 after tax — more than my computer is worth. Then they said another part was broken and I needed to pay $100 more. I was very upset. I only wanted to pay $40 for a simple restart, which I knew wasn’t costly. Be careful — this place tries to charge as much as possible and it feels like a scam. In the end, I had to pay them $85 for a computer that still wasn’t fixed.
