NJ MOM
Beware. I had been a customer of Madison Vacuum for several years bringing my Dyson vacuum for maintenance at least once a year. Every time I came in they would always comment on how they hate working on Dyson products as it is made of plastic and just not good. You may ask why I continued to go there but the only other vacuum store is in Livingston and they own that store too. Last year I brought my Dyson vacuum in for its yearly maintenance. It also needed a part because a piece of the removable canister broke. I paid over $500 for my Dyson and it was only 3-4 years old. They said they would order the part and fix it. Days later, I was told they couldn’t get through to Dyson and could not get the part but they would keep trying. A week or so later, I received a message that they could not get the part and asked if they should just get rid of it. I called back several times but either they were closed or there was no answer and no machine to leave a message, so when I finally got through they told me they threw my vacuum away… of course this was after a 10 min conversation asking how I was and trying to butter me up before telling me. I was shocked and didn’t know what to say except I wanted my vacuum back but he said it was gone… in the trash. He proceeded to say that Dyson vacuums are the worst and tried to sell me his Sebo vacuum for over $700 without a discount despite what he did to my vacuum. I am sharing this experience just so you are all aware of the type of people who run this business.
