LoriTech Computer Repair

We utilized computer services twice from this establishment, with positive results. I hired them again recently, to swap out my broken mounted TV with a new one I had purchased. The first thing I was told upon the arrival of the Loritech technician, was that he did not perform TV mounting. When I booked the job, I had told Lori that the TV mount was already on the wall and The TVs just needed to be swapped out by adjusting the brackets. I additionally informed her that my husband was here to help lift the TV as needed. Once the TV was painstakingly mounted, (none of us knew how to adjust the brackets and it took all three of us, to figure it out), it was then ready be programmed with Comcast Xfinity. Unfortunately, the TV was not programmed correctly and I kept getting error messages. Additionally, I needed two remotes at times, to turn on the TV. I texted Lori of Loritech and asked her if she could send someone out to properly program the TV that I originally hired her company to do. Lori texted that she would contact me that evening, but never did. I ended up having to call Comcast to walk me through programming the TV, which took close to 2 hours. Under the circumstances, I canceled the $145 payment, since the job was not performed as hired. I’m Saddened by the lack of professionalism I experienced with this company. If Lori just would’ve called me to make it right, everything would’ve been fine and I wouldn’t have found it necessary to waste my time for nearly two hours with Comcast, nor would I have found it necessary to cancel payment.

Alison (Al) at Loritech was very helpful when i brought in my "old" computer for evaluation. It was a computer that i got when retiring and it was at that time -- a pretty robust computer-- but that was now 3 years ago! i was looking for guidance on whether i should scrap it and buy a new unit or make a couple of upgrades ... Al surprised me by providing an honest evaluation and opinion given my current use. I upgraded the existing unit! Also, i recently brought it back as i could not find a file i needed from my previous drive (he replaced it) and he found it on the old drive he gave to me when it (the drive) was replaced and told me to hold onto it (just in case ...). He spent the time with me to load the file and program and show me how to locate each for me to use. Old fashioned customer service that i appreciate in this day! I also like using a local small business -- support thy neighbor! Overall a pleasant experience !
