I am responding to repeated text message request by Judd & Black to post review online. I chose to purchase my appliances at Judd & Black after learning they are one of the few businesses support warranties on products in my remote area. Our salesperson applied discounts and coordinated a delivery date via another store closer to delivery area. We received a courtesy call the morning of delivery just as they said would happen. Two crew members arrived late afternoon. They extracted the old appliances. I cleaned each area after each removal. New appliances were quickly slid into place. The dishwasher was the exception, requiring self install. I made sure to ask if all the necessary parts were inside the washer and the crew lead said yes. I signed their paperwork and handed them a bag of snacks for the long return trip. I do this for every crew that comes to our place. As soon as they left I began the refrigeration storage. I found crush marks in our wood flooring along with deep scrapes near fridge and outside of stove. The fridge bins were still covered in tape and plastic. Labels on interior left tons of ugly residue that we need to remove. When we left our home to pick kids up from school we stepped over paint chips at front door entry and front porch entry. The crew had scraped the inside front door frame and pulled wood off the inside of our front porch yet said nothing about their mishaps to me before they left. As we went through the dishwasher install we realized there was no power cord and was missing a hose kit to get it running, but we paid for the kit on invoice. This prompted my call to the business who explained that all dishwashers are hard-wired and would only refund $25. My husband spent the next four hours rushing to the few businesses we have on island to source generic parts and assembled our dishwasher. All of this could have been prevented by asking one question at time of purchase and by checking the delivery load for everything on the invoice. I hope we won't have to use our warranties to service these appliances, but in the event that we do...I won't be quick to sign anything and will checking for damages. Also...if the crew uses your restroom they should at least leave it as they found it. That is all I will say. I have had many kinds of businesses and trades work completed without incurring damage to my property. Our experience with Judd & Black installation left us with disappointment, frustration, and new out of pocket costs. To remove this candid review I pitch you a customer service recommendation: you could offer a new, working ducted under cabinet range hood because the cost to your business is less than what we will end up paying local contractors to fix what your crew broke. You have my email. Pics: not all pics are included As of January 2026 there has been no response from the business and fridge shelf broken in install has not been resolved under Whirlpool extended warranty. Still shelfless 6 months later. Update: The business reached out and they are working toward resolution. I am updating the review from 1 star to 3 in the interim while resolution is pending.
