Highly do not recommend. It costed me 500 dollars for Jim Lewis to “fix” my car. Drove the car 5 miles down the road and had to get it towed back. After taking it back Jim Lewis said it was going to cost me 1000-1500 dollars to get my car “fixed” again. I said, no thank you and took my car to a local mechanic and it costed me 200 dollars and my car has ran great ever since. I think Jim Lewis is over priced and lackadaisical with the work. They also backed my car into a concrete post when parking it.
Had a tire replaced. Guy working the desk called me after they looked at the tire and told me the total cost of the new tire and labor. When I got the invoice, there was a $25 charge on there for a "premium tire protection plan", which I did not agree to. When I when to pick the tire up, I asked the guy at the front what exactly that was for. He told me free rotation, free flat repair, etc for the life of the tire. Ok that's fine, but I didn't want that. I asked him to remove it and he acted like I was asking something unreasonable. "I wish I had known that before I finalized the invoice" he said. Yeah, me too. This hadn't been mentioned to me over the phone and I didn't agree to it. I guess not many people actually check the invoice and make sure it's correct. It was near closing time, and he said he had to make a phone call to get the protection plan removed, and he warned me "if I can't get a hold of this person then you'll just have to come back tomorrow when he is able to adjust the invoice then get your tire". Obviously that would have been completely unacceptable. Luckily he was able to contact the correct person and have the protection plan removed. The $25 plan was removed from my bill and the total of the bill dropped by $10. When I looked at the new invoice, the total cost of labor had gone up $10, and an additional $5 tire fee was added. I asked the guy why that happened and he wasn't able to answer. "It's just the way the system does it". Ok whatever. I paid and left.
The shop does quality work and they get it done quickly. But I can really do without the sneaking things onto the bill, and being treated like I am a hassle for asking it to be taken off.
My wife and I were out running errands when the TPMS alarmed. We had a piece of metal in one tire. I was able get it to Jim Lewis before it lost too much air. The team there was absolutely fabulous in fixing the tire and getting us back on the road quickly. I highly recommend Jim Lewis!
While on a road trip I got a flat tire in Jefferson. I called Jim Lewis on a recommendation and they were just as amazing as I was told. Able to get the repair done and back to me within 30 minutes. The customer service was outstanding by everyone I talked to there. Thank you very much for the quick help.
