J Sharp Music

I decided to take voice lessons from J Sharp because I’ve always wanted to be a better singer and they’re conveniently located in Los Lunas. Cathy instructed me in voice for a year and a half and I had such a great experience and improved so much! She’s very knowledgeable and she adjusted lessons to match my skills, weaknesses, and longterm goals. She even got me to perform on stage (although that’s not required)! J Sharp also offers other music lessons for learning instruments. Definitely recommend checking them out if you’re interested in pursuing a musical goal. J Sharp is a welcoming place for kids and adults.

I recently had my 1960 Mirafone tuba in to Reese Mandeville of J Sharp music for cleaning and repairs—Reese did a terrific job! The horn went to him with a number of large dents, a hole in the tubing, and a very peculiar and largely non-functioning main tuning slide mod. It came back to me with the dents removed, the hole covered with a beautiful patch, and the tuning slide modification removed. And cleaned and lubricated, of course! It sounds so good—such a warm and rich sound. Thanks, Reese!
