We have a large 2-car garage with a heavy 800 lb door and a side mounted motor. The support strings on one side broke, causing the door to drop unevenly and come out of the tracks, leaving one side fully down and the other halfway up. With both cars parked inside, it was a very risky situation. A couple of technicians initially tried to fix it and to their credit were transparent in acknowledging they were not the right fit for a door of this size and complexity. Brett came out on a weekend with very short notice, quickly diagnosed the issue, explained exactly what had failed, and provided a clear, fair estimate. He resolved the entire problem cleanly and safely within a couple of hours. The price was very reasonable given the expertise, speed, and weekend emergency support. Brett also adjusted the tracks and relubed them, which made a noticeable improvement in the smoothness and overall feel of the door. We are now signing up for their annual maintenance plan based on the confidence they earned from this experience. Called this company on Wednesday, they came out next day and replaced bracket and weather stripping on bottom of garage door. Quick and affordable, with wonderful customer support. The tech was very friendly and did a great job, and was very knowledgeable considering my garage door was 40 years old. He knew exactly what was needed and completed the job fast. I'm very pleased with this company. Their were large gaps under garage door weather stripping letting in leaves and cold air during winter time. Now it's completely sealed up!!!

Please humor me in following along with this lengthy review regarding my experience today with Imperial Overhead Garage Door Repair.  Wife and I were enjoying some dinner last night when we heard that stomach-turning, crashing, loud sound, coming from the garage; that if you've ever had a garage spring break on you, its a very familiar sound that you never want to hear.  I immediately sent a message on Google requesting estimates.  I received over 10 estimates in 5 minutes. Some estimates were very low, but the ratings for most of those companies were "concerning." Fast forward to today, Friday. I had a company lined up to come to the house at noon.  However, I received a text after noon stating that the technician was re-routed and that it would be 'later'.  'Later' then turned into 'can't make it today, but can come out on Sunday'. I was then faced with a decision -  to wait until Sunday for a very low price, or find someone that could come out on a Friday afternoon on short notice and hopefully, provide a reasonable quote.  I chose to take my chances and search for a company that could come out today.  Because Imperial had nearly 100% 5-Star reviews and the owner responds to nearly all reviews, I gave Imperial a call. I spoke first with Joe, who was very helpful, provided a reasonable price range and said he could send someone in 30 minutes.  I then began texting with Nick, who is the owner, and who was equally friendly, professional and helpful.  I was told that Bret (Technician Manager) had finished his previous job and was on his way to my home.  Brett arrived, very professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgable. Brett has worked on garage doors nearly his entire life and could probably replace a garage spring with a blindfold. Bret completed the job in less than 30 minutes and was then on his way out.  The price was great and the work and professionalism was equally fantastic!
