Heritage Fireplace & Stove

This store's employees were instrumental in finding us a remote for a no-longer-made gas fireplace. When we lost the original, I had no idea how difficult (and expensive!) a replacement could be! For months, we had no luck. Nobody had one, or any suggestions other than getting a new fireplace. (!) Somebody finally suggested using a Google "product locator" search. I was directed to Heritage Fireplace and Stove. It was on the eve of the last big storm in January 2026. They had a universal remote in stock, only 8 miles away. I didn't get the first counter lady's name, but she held the store open so we could pick it up. Matt, the technician didn't know if it would match exactly, but he would keep in touch personally to help. It wasn't a match. He helped us run the fireplace manually. The next morning, he texted that they had an original remote. He and Bobbi, the wizardress of miracle workers, found it in a cabinet where it sat for 20 years! No one could have worked harder to make this have a happy ending. I would gladly recommend the 3 employees because they truly went the extra mile when they didn't have to.

Extremely poor service. I had a gas log set installed into our fireplace. Their contractor was TERRIBLE. Blew off 2 appointments with no calls. I had to help him run the pipes and when he came through the fire block from the garage he didn’t even attempt to hide the pipe! Now every time I turn it on I have to stare at this monstrosity of poor craftsmanship. Tried calling the store and all I got was “oh that’s our contractor you have to work it out with him”. Great if the guy actually called back!?!
