My experience with Harrity has been extremely frustrating.
I had a part ordered through Harrity and later needed reimbursement for it along with the potential service fee. I began calling on 12/12/2025 to follow up. Since then, I have called 9 times and was repeatedly told that the owner was either unavailable or on vacation. They had no problem taking payment upfront, but reimbursing it has been a completely different story.
Until today 2/24/2026, I still have not received a clear timeline for my refund. Most recently, I was told the owner’s return was delayed due to a storm, but there is still no estimate as to when this will be resolved.
I understand that vacations and weather delays happen. However, customers should not be left without answers or a clear process for reimbursement. The lack of communication and accountability has been very disappointing.
While this shop boasts excellent reviews, my experience was unfortunately the opposite. I scheduled a service call for an issue with my 11year side by side KitchenAid refrigerator with water dispenser and ice maker but the technician failed to diagnose the problem or perform any repairs. After intermittent water then stopping for days at a time, it was working when tech arrived. Hours later it failed again along with fridge, freezer temps malfunctioning.
He quickly, loudly and repeatedly said, “it’s Ancient and it’s working now nothing I can do!!” As a reasonable person I asked why no diagnosis of water filter, air filter, temperature controls, compressor might determine my issues but he was reluctant to check anything and became angry. Demeanor was rude and ge was disinterested in addressing the issues with my appliance, did not listen to my concerns,, disregarded potential problems.
I contacted another company and a thorough fair diagnosis was completed, including the compressor, that resulted in my decision to replace it rather than repairing it with costly parts. I bought a new refrigerator within a week after careful comparison shopping as my only alternative to a faulty fridge.
Despite paying for the service call, I was left with the same issue unresolved. I'm disappointed with the lack of professionalism and the wasted time and money. I was surprised to learn that using my debit card to pay fee meant adding a 3% surcharge, that is illegal, and therefore decided to pay by check instead. I subsequently asked for a refund as the charge was for a diagnosis only, that was not done professionally, however I have had no response. .
Make them your first call. I LOVE our 7 year old LG fridge but we started to have an issue with the defrost feature on the freezer fan, so after a month of defrosting the fan with a hair dryer and hoping for the best, we finally had to have someone come look. The first person tried but couldn't fix it, said they don't make the parts anymore and didn't put it back correctly which made the freezer stop cooling and ice maker stop working. We reached out to LG directly hoping their tech could fix it, but they use 3rd party people and the only "LG techs" were in lower CT and the scheduling was a NIGHTMARE because they wouldn't come this way unless they had other jobs. I was still determined because I did NOT want other fridge so we called Harrity's. He said he knew what the issue was, ordered parts, and came back within a week to install them. I was skeptical because of the issues the first guy had and "no one wants to work on a LG"..... but he did it. He fixed our fridge on the first try, at a very fair price, and in a very timely manner. We couldn't be happier and I wish we had called them first to avoid the headaches.
We were beyond happy with the communication and speed of repair for the ice machine in our GE refrigerator. We were covered under warranty by a third party (New Leaf), however we feel like we were still treated as any other paying customer. They were very responsive and fast with coming out to diagnose, and as soon as the part came in they called and even offered to come out to finish the repair same day, which didn’t work with our schedule but had a number of options within a couple of days as well! Dave who came to evaluate as well as complete the repair was friendly and efficient. Thank you for making this process so easy!
Do not use Harrity repair! I warn you now… My LG front loader washing machine which is 4 years old just stopped working.. Have a 5 year extended warranty, I called new leaf and put in a claim, they contracted Harrity to come and diagnose the washer. They came same day which was great, even the repair guy seemed like a nice guy.. he said I need a control module with harness, had a blown fuse. Here’s when it started getting shady.. I call 2 days later to see if new leaf was going to cover the repair. Harrity says we can’t find the part and I should call new leaf, my insurance so I did. New leaf said they are a repair company they can’t find a diagram of your model dryer, and get a part number for the control module? I said that’s what Harrity just told me, new leaf said let me talk to them, puts me on hold, comes back and says I gave them guidance on who to contact I’m assuming LG… I said great, let me call Harrity before they close so I can see what they say.. they tell me they don’t know what to order, and they will have to wait till tomorrow until the repair man comes in at 11 so he can source this part, I said fantastic.. I call at noon today and ask if we were able to find the part, the guy on the phone said he’s been on the phone now for 5 mins on hold looking for this part, and he can’t wait all day! I said wooah easy I really need this fixed! He said I’ll call you after he gets off the phone.. 450pm I call back before they close on a Friday and said I’d just like to touch base before the weekend , Harrity said the part they can find, however it takes 3 hours to install and they don’t have time for this..
Thanks Harrity for wasting a week of my time to say we don’t have time to fix this! I live right next door too.. do not call this place, very shady and refuse to make call backs when they say they will.. like eye gouging to get answers or service!

You heard it from the owner, if your washer is in a laundry room, and on a pedestal, they will refuse to do business with you.. not ask the owner to take the washer off the manufacturers pedestal, and they will work on it.. very interesting 🤔.. see pics - “the infamous pedestal”
Not one received call from this business as he states, just a lot of “we will call you when we know more” and no callbacks
