First Choice Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning - Riverside

I have used this company several times for plumbing issues , including a slab leak that as you can imagine, is very stressful. Jacob is amazing and did a great job every time he's helped us. Unfortunately, that's where my positive impression had to end. I decided to use this company for an A.C issue we were having. The air was not blowing cool..I called them out for annual maintenance and for any recommendations they might have. Jason came out and checked my filter , saw it was dirty then went outside to inspect the outside of the unit. When he came back inside, Jason said my unit was old and needed to be replaced, and there was nothing he could do to fix it. He also stated I had a freon leak. I was confused because the unit had been running fine besides it not being as cool as before. Jason gave me the whole breakdown of what a new unit would cost, approximately $10,000. I asked if he could add freon while I think about what to do. He said he could, but the freon would just leak out. I had Jason leave me the quote and told him I'd have to think about, since like most people I don't just have that money to shell out. Jason advised me not to use the unit at all because it could burn it up. After his visit I had Home Depot, and another company come out for a,second opinion. Both companies said that although my unit was older , there was nothing wrong with it besides it needed the maintenance and that the filter was dirty causing the air not to get cold. I'm writing this review to hopefully help someone else. Please get a second opinion like I did. You could save yourself a lot of money!
