Called about having my desktop computer problem diagnosed and fixed. Every time the computer would boot up, I would see the pixels flicker across the screen. I was told they had a workbench technician whom I could bring it to and for $150 they would diagnose the problem and from there I could elect to have it fixed after the problem was diagnosed. I dropped it off for 4 days and the technician called to tell me to pick it up. Basically there was nothing wrong with the computer as far as he could tell, noticed a couple of out of date drivers and installed them, but I was told it was my monitor that was likely broken. Said he tested my computer against different monitors and there were no problems. I brought it home, plugged it in and the same problem started immediately. I called back and was told the technician would call me back. I received no call back. In the meantime, 2 weeks later I got a new monitor, hooked it up with a different HDMI cable and the same problem occurred immediately. Clearly a problem with the computer, not the monitor. I called back again, left a message explaining the issue and asking for a call back. Over a week later, no call back. All told, 4 weeks gone by, no follow-up. 150 bucks down the drain for nothing. Brought my computer to "Norwalk Computer" and for $80 they diagnosed and fixed the problem as it was a faulty RAM memory module. I would imagine Eppy Tech is very competent with their other services given how long they've been in business. But not with computer repair and they need to work on their follow through.
