Dorian gave me the greatest advice about 20 years ago on clock repair and picking friends. He has forgotten more than I would ever know about clocks. I'm so grateful to the Universe that Dorian is still working. What a fine human being, knowledgeable and kind. Scott, you should be nicer!
Make sure your clock is at least "100 years old" or take your business elsewhere. I was so excited to take my vintage 1970s clock to Dorian. I called on the phone and the first thing I was told was "I don't have a lot of room in my shop, but sure bring it by." Before I even took my clock out of my bag, Dorian said "We don't work with those. Only antique." I asked "What makes a clock 'antique'?" and he responded "at least 100 years old." I wanted to support a local business, which I assumed could use the revenue in this post-pandemic era, but clearly Dorian has very high standards for the types of clocks he accepts. At least he gave me the contact info for Smith Clock Co so I recommend taking your business elsewhere, just like I was forced to do.
Phenomenal service and workmanship. The men who work there are incredibly kind and friendly and know their clocks!!! Close parking too. I’ve always parked right on the street in front… Highly recommend !
