Great experience with Distinctive Landscapes! We recently hired this team to replace an old rotted/failed railroad tie retaining wall with concrete blocks. Very good communication, competitively priced, excellent care of our property during their work, and high-quality careful installation work. It looks great, and we'd surely reach out to them again if a future project arises.
We did a patio w/pavers, pergola and grill area. They listened to us. We got exactly what we wanted. Very professional. All the guys new exactly what to do, very patient and precise. very professional to the very end. We are overwhelmed by the results.
Distinctive Landscapes repaired and reconstructed our back deck and walkway to our home in Ames in October of 2025. They did an amazing job and we couldn’t be more pleased. They even accommodated our special requests and pickiness as to the look of the grain of the wood. Joe and his team made sure we were satisfied. I highly recommend them!
From start to finish, our experience working with Distinctive Landscapes went above and beyond our expectations and we couldn't be happier with the results! After reaching out to inquire about a quote, we received a call the same day to set up a time to discuss our project. That same week, we met with Jay who listened to what we were hoping for and provided helpful suggestions and recommendations. Shortly after, we received a quote and felt comfortable and confident with our experience to move forward. Jay coordinated a time with us to meet up at a paver supplier to review paver options and helped solidify our final design and decision. When the project started, the team was always on-time, were friendly and respectful and produced incredible results! Not only were the details with the paver work impeccable, the grading and slope of the soil/sod to the paver patio creates a natural flow between the patio and grass. We received five quotes for our project and Distinctive Landscapes was the most professional, detail-oriented and responsive. We couldn't recommend Distinctive Landscapes more and will certainly be utilizing them in the future!
