Dependable Air Duct & Dryer Vent Cleaning

Pretty sure I got scammed… starting price was $79.00 then they came out, and started it needed a “Deep clean” and said it will cost $212.00 Don’t recommend this confirm my experience so far. He couldn’t find where the vent escaped the house. I had to show him. The only thing not making this a 1 star review was I worked with Mike and he was nice. But I did feel like I got scammed. Clear communication on the front end would have been nice.

NOT even 1 STAR..Had dryer vent cleaning by a person named MIKE yesterday, 10/19/25. He went up to my roof and checked from inside. Said it was all full of lint. He said he would clean with the tool with a brush at the tip of a long cable type of a wire. He reconnected the dryer from the pipe and went to the roof from where he came back down in 2 minutes saying he pour chemical into the pipe which would desolve the lint!?!? I am an educated person who knows much about chemicals. I asked him what kind of chemicals he said he did not know. He asked me not to use the dryer for 5 hours for the chemical to be effective!!! When we tried to use it we realized the pipe was NOT connected to the dryer and air was blown into the room with all the lints flying all over. I called right away they hung up on me, I called the office the girl said he will talk to the boss and get back to me..This morning I called back again she answered and put me on hold and then hang up on me! I called again and left a vm saying I will be contacting "FL AG Consumer Protection Agency" as well as BBB to file a complaint if they will not get back to me by 5pm EST today, 10/20/2025. Will see if they are a real company or NOT. I will definitely UPDATE this review.

The worst! The worst customer service. I set an appointment for 8-10am, no showed. Hung up on me 2 times when I tried to get an update, finally got ahold of the company and put me on hold for 30 min just to say they will call me back with an update and never did. When they came out: They cleaned out my dryer air ducts and messed with the vent cap on the roof so my dryer hasn't worked since. Since then I have been trying to get them to come out and fix it, said I have to pay for a new cleaning.

I hired Dependable Air Duct & Dryer Vent Cleaning in Tampa to resolve a persistent odor coming from my AC system. During their visit, I was given a verbal quote of $1,100 and a verbal guarantee that the service would address the issue, which I paid via Zelle. After the service, the odor remained. Over the following two months, I made multiple calls and submitted contact forms to request that the company honor their verbal guarantee. Several follow-up appointments were scheduled, but no one ever arrived and I received no advance notice of cancellations. Explanations for missed visits varied and communication eventually ceased, with calls going unanswered or abruptly disconnected. Despite calmly repeating the details and payment history, my request for a remedy was never met. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company for AC odor service. I am pursuing legal options to recoup the payment, and encourage others seeking reliability or guaranteed service to consider alternatives.
