Denison Landscaping

Very disappointed. Of the forty ARBORVITAES we had planted, 10 died within a couple/few months. Was difficult to get help from Denison as our customer rep had left the company. Finally, they agreed to replace them, but....they replaced the arborvitaes with the eastern red cedars. It's a weird, silly, unbelievable mistake. I've gotten no response from them and have had to hire another nursery to fix the issue. Sorry to say, but absolutely stay away from them.

Avoid this company at all costs. The laundry list of serious issues we’ve had with Denison’s performance is too much to even put in a review. “Update as of 3/26”: We have had a saga of warranty issues with this company, the last being a cracked irrigation line from the last time they performed work for us. They were scheduled 3 different times to show up to repair this irrigation line and never showed. I finally ate the cost and repaired it myself this past weekend. Low and behold they showed up today unannounced and unscheduled to repair the line. This company is totally mismanaged from the top all the way down. The final straw to actually write this review was coming across wire cutoffs all throughout our common areas. Denison planted 50+ trees in our neighborhood over the past 2 weeks and left wire cutoffs all throughout the grass. The picture with this review shows the cutoffs from 3 trees that I pulled out of the grass. Our kids and pets are going to get hurt from these. This is the standard quality of work from this company and the crew that they use in Coastal DE. Schell Brothers should be ashamed to use this company for their development projects.

Don't waste your time, it will be a waste of money. Our entire community has to be re-sodded. It looks terrible and has since it was installed. Denison watered it once, oversaturated the sod on installation and then they're done; they're gone. Denison should ensure that the landscaping is watered or at least the sprinkler system is on. There is no quality assurance. Who is going to have to pay to have this redone? Homeowners! The 3rd photo (closeup) is from the most recent installation in our neighborhood about 2 weeks ago. The sod, since it was not watered now has between 2-4" gaps... it looks terrible! The sod or weeds is two different areas that need to have the sod redone. Maybe they should google proper care for sod? I did! "New sod installed over sandy loam will need to be watered at least seven times daily. Each watering should only consist of enough water to wet the roots. New sod is not able to soak up much water at once, and too much water will cause root rot. You never want soggy soil under your new sod."

Denison Landscaping was amazing to work with. They completed sod and irrigation install on our new construction home just under an acre. Caleb and his team were very professional, easy to work with and were educated in their field. We have plans for future landscaping design/an addition of a pool and their expertise on irrigation placement to accommodate those future changes were extremely helpful and allowed us to have some cost savings. The job was completed in 2 days. One day for irrigation and the second day for sod install. The team that laid the sod was a well oiled machine. They arrived on time and completed the job in record time. We are very satisfied with the work done by Denison and plan to use their services again in the spring for landscaping design.
