I don’t usually leave reviews, but this place honestly surprised me in the best way. From the first call, everyone I spoke with at Camping World of Dothan was super friendly and easy to talk to. They actually listened to what I was looking for and didn’t make me feel pressured at all.
They stayed in touch without blowing my phone up, answered all my questions, and made sure I felt comfortable before coming in. By the time I got there, everything was already set up and ready, which made the whole process way smoother than I expected.
You can tell they care about helping people and not just trying to sell you something. That alone goes a long way. I’d definitely recommend reaching out to them if you’re even thinking about getting an RV.
From the first phone call with Erica to meeting my sales rep Jarvis every thing was met with professionalism and courteous service. I was really appreciative of the customer service from EVERYONE I came in contact with at the Dothan location. When it comes time to upgrade or for service ill be back to this location first. Thanks again we are so happy with our purchase
I was given an offer to sell them my RV and they said they do an inspection they sent us to lunch. We came back and I was accused of hiding damage. I didn’t know the water pump was broken. I got an inspection at another place and the pump is fine! He lied to me which seems to be deceptive business practices.
If I could give negative stars I would. We came into camping world and signed papers on a Coleman 13b. We looked at the camper they had in the building which looked great. We had to wait a few days for them to prepare our camper and detail it. We thought we were picking up a brand new camper but that was not the case. When I arrived to pick up the camper I was told to do a walk around with one of the techs to make sure everything was okay with the camper. The camper had extensive damage to the metal outside, scratches all on the interior, wallpaper in the shower was already pealing off, scratching and marks on the ceiling inside and much more. When I told the tech that it was unacceptable and I would not be taking the camper I was told we already signed the papers and it was ours to take, was also told don’t worry it’s all covered under manufacture warranty. We had no choice but to take the camper.
The first time camping in the Coleman the entire interior flooded. I called camping world immediately and Riley the service writer said keystone had emailed them stating the ac drip pan was installed incorrectly which could cause the water to drip inside.
We were told our camper was ready to be picked up so I went up there to check it and take it home. Where they reinstalled the ac they failed to caulk it on the outside. They installed a new shower wall and pan but did not fix the peeling wallpaper. There was nothing wrong with the shower pan. They removed and replaced the metal on the rear of the camper. The damage was to the front and the left side of camper so that was also not fixed. The scratched and scrapes inside the camper were still there along with new ones from where they had to tear out the bed and rebuild it because of the water damage. The water flooded the entire camper under the sink, the bunks, and under the bed and the only thing they replaced was the bed.
Now we have a brand new camper with extensive amounts of damage and repairs and we have to deal with it. Do not buy from camping world of Dothan. Management sucks. Turnover rates are extremely high with employees. Just google all the reviews of camping world. We should have researched before buying from them, hard lesson learned. We are trying to allow camping world to resolve this outside of court but our attorney keeps insisting we litigate the process. Hopefully they make it right with us but upon researching other situations like this one it doesn’t seem like they will resolve the issue unless taken to court. Our camper cost less than what they would spend in court so hopefully they will see this and actually give us a call back.
Update 02/24/2026
Still being toyed with. The general manager tried to sell us a new camper saying we could trade in our camper instead of us doing a buyout. We declined, and corporate will not answer our emails or give us any updates. We were told we couldn’t even get our items out of the camper by the general manager. All of our conversations, phone calls were recorded and we are documenting everything to our attorney.
UPDATE!! We went back and dealt with Maddie and purchased our new RV from her. She is very knowledgeable about pretty much every unit they have and is not pushy. Highly recommend her. Also everyone we dealt with was very helpful.
Had a really good shopping experience with Maddie. She took the time and listened to what I was looking for and wasnt pushy. Would definitely recommend dealing with her!
