Auto Doctor of Franklin

I had a very disappointing experience with Auto Doctor of Franklin. I called ahead to ask if they offer headlight alignment, and the person on the phone told me they could do it and gave me a clear price. He also told me to drop off the car at 10 AM, so I drove 45 minutes to get there at that time. When I arrived, the person at the front desk told me to go home and come back at 4 PM, saying they needed it later in the day to see the headlights properly. I explained that I came based on the time they gave me, and after going back and forth, they finally agreed to take the car in. Then the guy at the front suddenly told me a price that was double what I was told over the phone. Only after questioning it did they agree to honor the original amount. After that, he tried to push a bigger repair on me, telling me that the whole left headlight assembly was bad and that I needed a new one. He said they could order it, that it would take “about two hours,” and that they would need to remove the bumper to replace it. He made it sound like a major issue. Later, they told me they could only adjust the right headlight and that the left side “didn’t work” and couldn’t be aligned because it kept bouncing. This made me think the whole assembly was truly damaged. I took the car to another shop afterward, and they aligned both headlights perfectly with no problems at all. The left side worked completely fine. No new assembly, no bumper removal, nothing. It took them just a few minutes. This place made a simple job sound like a big story for no reason. The experience felt unstable, unprofessional, and honestly stressful. I wasted my time, dealt with a sudden price change, and had to pay another shop to fix what they should have done in the first place. I would not recommend this place.
