Paul (I believe), the owner, was wonderful. We were quoted an astronomical amount by another company bc the liner needed to be replaced. Conveniently the other company had everything on their truck and could do it that day if we were willing to fork out thousands. We weren't and the fireplace sat for 5 years! We had 2 other fireplaces I needed cleaned so this time I tried Ash Wipers. Paul came out and did an amazing job getting everything in order and was able to address some cracking I saw. While here I asked him to give me a quote on the fireplace that needed thousands worth of work. To my absolute delight, Paul said there were no problems and it was safe to use. I am so grateful for his honesty and quality work! My wood supply man is glad too because we're having way more fires this year thanks to Paul getting everything safe and sound!

I hired Ash wipers to clean and inspect the fireplace in our new house in the early fall. They came out and cleaned it and discovered some hairline cracks in the firebox. I was told that the cracks were a problem and needed to be fixed before any fires were burned, for safety. So, for our safety, we let them put a cement mixture over the cracks and paid several hundred dollars. A few months later, the cement was peeling off the walls in large chunks, and we called them. We were told that this is normal and it's not a problem. As more of the cement peeled off and exposed the cracks again, we called again and requested that they come back out. They came out and all of a sudden, the cracks were not a problem. Hmm. Why we're they a problem when we were going to pay you, but not a problem when we called you back because it was guaranteed. It was clear that they were not happy to be called back out for this problem. I called another place and they stated that as long as the cracks are hairline it's ok, but if they opened up bigger, then it's a problem. Why was this not told to me by Ash wipers? Money... And taking advantage of people.. shame on you.
