Don’t spend your harder money here, spend it somewhere else. First off they don’t always answer the phone, secondly they don’t return calls In a timely manner, third they never show up at the time that negotiated, and they definitely don’t call to let you know that they’re running late. I can understand being an hour or so late but when you’re three or four hours late and there’s no call that’s bad customer service. There is overcharge for hourly labor, work does not appear to be guaranteed, and things are left unfinished. Overall, just feel that you can get a much better Plumber for your hard earned money they can do it above adequate job

We are doing a remodel in our bathroom and needed a plumber to remove the walk-in shower and redo the water lines and drain. We called Art's plumbing and they agreed to a price per hour and they said they would be there the next day. It was also said that the plumber would need a helper so if the plumber has to leave for parts then the helper would continue to work. This cost over $50 an hour just to have him. They said it would only take about 4 hours to finish the job.They showed up and proceeded to get to work. It was determined after a few hours that parts were needed. Both of the workers left. This was around 11:00 am. They returned at 2:15 pm. They got back to work. At the end of the day they said they needed to return the next day because of an issue with the drain. They returned the next day and finished the job. Now comes the horrible part. They charged me for over 11 hours of work. They charged me for when they left for 3 hours to get parts. I was told they had to go to a specific plumber supply store in Santa Fe. The parts they used I could have got at Lowe's which is 2 miles away. They also didn't leave the helper to continue work. If they did they would have seen the drain issue and fixed it that day. They charged me $600 for parts that cost under $100 at Lowe's. Overall they overcharged me around $2000. The bill was mistakenly paid before I got a chance to look at it or I wouldn't have paid it. When I tried to get my $2000 back they said the bill was correct. They said Lowe's parts are not good enough to put in a bathroom. They also said I was responsible to pay them for the 3 hour lunch and parts run. They offered to refund me $500. I'm still waiting on an itemized bill so I can show the Attorney General. They don't charge tax if you pay cash too. I believe that is illegal. Please people stay away from Art's plumbing. Unless you have thousands of dollars just to give away. They are the most corrupt business I've ever come across.

We hired Art's Plumbing to remodel our shower and to move the floor drain. We were originally told by Adrian they would work on a 'time and materials' basis of $200 per hour. The assistant plumber was left to excavate the floor and the lead plumber didn't return to the end of the day. (Our radiant heating pipes were damaged during their work.) We were then told that the business owner would need to approve the continuation of the project. Four days later Adrian called to say the remainder of the project would cost $2,600. We opted to finish the project with another local plumber who we could trust. Art's would not be responsible for repairing the radiant floor pipes they damaged because we opted to finish the job with another plumber. We wouldn't use Art's Plumbing again if they were the last plumber in Santa Fe.
