Very nice historic western general store.
This is a part of America that most of us never get to see.
The general store doubles as the local post office and the local bar.
They had nice souvenirs and part of the store acts as an antique shop.
If you are in the area definitely stop by and step back in time.
I stopped by the historic general store in Aladin, and it was like stepping into a different era. This charming store has been around for ages, proudly holding the title of the oldest general store in the area. As I walked in, I was greeted by the nostalgic feel of the original old post office, which has been preserved and still operates today.
The store is a treasure trove of essentials and surprises. From bullets for your firearm to snacks, drinks, and everyday necessities, they've got everything you might need in this tiny town of just 15 residents. The store's role extends beyond just shopping – it's a gathering place where locals and visitors can connect.
The on-site bar is the perfect spot to grab a refreshing drink and take a break. The friendly staff and old-school ambiance make it a unique experience that's worth stopping for. Whether you're passing through or a local, this general store is a must-visit for its history, charm, and sense of community.
*Tips:*
- Stop by the post office for a unique mailing experience
- Explore the aisles for some unexpected finds
- Grab a drink at the bar and chat with the locals
*Recommended for:* History buffs, those looking for a unique experience, and anyone passing through Aladin
This is a great store, which was pretty unexpected to see in a town of such a small size. There are plenty of very nice souvenirs and clothes. The owner Trent is very friendly and welcoming.
It’s not your typical general store, it’s the center of this tiny 30-acre town with population 15.
It’s on our way from Rapid City to Devils Tower. We spent about 30 mins to walk through the total 2 floors. Lovely and Interesting!!
