Abel Air & Heat

Just had a new Trane 5-Ton Air Conditioner installed by Abel Air and Heat. The decision was not quick, but as I had time, I spent that time doing a fairly thorough search. I checked the South Gulf Cove websites for individuals who had asked for information about professional and competent installers. I came up with three area providers who had excellent reviews. I set up three appointments and met with each one. Although each vender was professional in their presentation, Abel Air stood out. Not only was the presentation by the owner himself, he spent substantially more time explaining what he had to offer. He answered questions I didn't even know I had. Prices from all were across the board. Different manufacturers, different SEER ratings, different warranties, etc, etc... . I settled on Abel Air and a 5-Ton Trane unit with a 10 year warranty. Not the cheapest, but it seemed like the best choice considering quality, efficiency and longevity. As my current unit was rapidly leaking freon and our weather was approaching the "feels like 118 degrees", Dave had a temporary used compressor installed. Took the service folks almost a day to install that unit. "No charge." As luck would have it, the temporary, used compressor failed too. Back they came and removed the compressor and installed a one room portable air conditioner to get us by. "No charge." They moved up our appointment and got started on our install a day later. Dave sent 5 or 6 installers out to get a new air handler and compressor installed. It was a full day project, but they got it completed and running before darkness set in. Quality work and professional installers. I would highly recommend Dave and his company. No one wants to have to spend the dollars involved with an A/C, but if you have too, Abel Air is the way to go. Terry Brown South Gulf Cove
