We purchase a brand new unit from Abbott Air in sept 2022 for $10,000. After installation we had to contact them many times to come back and set up the thermostat again and again as our home was not cooling properly. Every time they came out they made us feel as though we are a problem customer although we paid so much for a brand new system. then finally after just 1 year, the system started to leak and we quickly called them. A few of our stuff got ruined but thankfully we were home and called them in time and they said that it was due to a part that needed to be replaced. One of the owners AJ came out once with his son and told us that we needed a maintenance plan which we were fine with but he also said that there was no way to stop a leak and it could leak again at any time. We let him know that our home was a vacation rental and we would not always be home and how can a brand new AC unit just leak at any time? AJ was beyond rude and kept making us feel like we were the problem. Then we had another leak and Abbott Air came out again and this time because due to the same problem, we were upset and the technician got all sensitive and just left our home. More of our stuff was going to get ruined! We were made to feel as though everything was our fault. My wife then decided to call another AC company and they came out and let us know that there was a faulty install with a 90 degree angle pipe. We asked the new technician if it was normal for a new AC unit to just leak at anytime and he absolutely said no that with regular maintenance and the new angle that he installed all would be good and no leaks! We then called Abbott Air to discuss this and to also get a copy of our warranty from them and no one called us back after many calls and voicemails. Then both my wife and I just could not get through to them as they BLOCKED both of our numbers! Again they BLOCKED both me and my wife's number! How unprofessional and childish! We spent $10,000 on an AC unit and they installed it incorrectly and never took accountability for their mistake and our stuff getting ruined and they are upset at us?? We do not recommend this company and especially after they never returned our calls and blocking us from contacting them and by not installing our unit properly. A terrible company and we now have to go in person with a police escort because we do not trust them just to get our warranty. A very unprofessional company. If I could rate them a zero I would.
