The worst store I've ever been in. I walked in and tried to get the attention of one of the workers because I had a question about getting a necklace fixed. He didn't even look up and no one talked to me. I stood there for about a minute and then just walked out because nobody helped me. Worse customer service I've seen in years.
We went in today to change the watch band on the new watch that I bought for my husband. The band that we change into was from his father’s old watch. When it was completed my husband asked how much and what a complete surprise when he said no charge!!!! WOW wasn’t expecting that but really made our day….great friendly guy and I can see why he has been in business for so long!!!!!!
I can’t believe I haven’t left a review yet. I’ve been taking broken, missing, and messed up jewelry here for decades and they can fix ANYTHING as good as new. I brought in a tricky welding-type job- comes back perfect. Odd colored stone falls out? Replaced no problem. Pearls won’t stay on studs- fixed once and done. They’re knowledgeable, too. Weird bracelet that may be real, may be fake? They’ll know the material. Question about an old watch? He knows the value and background. All repairs done quickly for a very small price- like I feel like they should charge more. They are such a professional and amazing company, Kailua is lucky to have them! Oh, and their jewelry is stunning. I hope one day I can buy a unique heirloom piece from here. If you love kailua, this is the place to buy (or buy your wife) a lasting piece of fine jewelry.
I visited Windward Jewelers in Kailua during my trip to Hawaii in October and purchased a pair of 14K plumeria stud earrings for $160. The price was very reasonable, and the quality exceeded my expectations. After returning to Japan and doing some research, I realized what a great find this shop was.
The store has a calm, welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were kind and helpful. It has a local charm while still being friendly to visitors, which made shopping there a pleasant experience.
They offer a lovely selection of Hawaiian-style jewelry, and I’m already looking forward to checking out their necklaces and rings next time. If you’re in Kailua and looking for jewelry, I highly recommend stopping by this gem of a shop.
I had my engagement ring resized here because it kept twisting on my finger. When I went in, they had me try on a ring sizer to ensure the fit would be perfect. The jeweler explained that since my ring is more top-heavy, it’s common to go down at least a quarter size to help prevent twisting, which I really appreciated learning as my wedding band was the same size and fit perfectly.
The turnaround time was quick: I dropped my ring off on a Tuesday and picked it up the following Thursday, so just a little over a week. They even cleaned it when I picked it up, it was sparkling like new!
The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. While I was there, I also spotted a ring I might get for my husband when we decide to upgrade his. Definitely recommend!
