I recently had repairs ( struts, shocks, ball joint, wheel alignment) completed at Williams Auto and was very impressed with the overall experience. Pricing was fair and transparent throughout the entire process, clearly explaining the needed repairs and associated costs. The work was completed within the timeline provided, and they even offered a courtesy loaner car for the day, which made things much more convenient. Their communication was professional and straightforward, with absolutely no pressure to purchase unnecessary services — something that’s becoming increasingly rare. It’s clear that the current Google rating accurately reflect... Have had a bunch of suspension and axel parts done here… they are very good about warranty repairs, I have a truck with a leveling kit and had to have cv axels warranty replaced twice, the last time I was worried because my wife was close to her due date staying with her mom an hour and half away and I had my two sons with me and being down to one car is worrisome when that one car has an issue that needs to be fixed… anyways they got me in, gave me a courtesy vehicle to drive for the day, and then completed the warranty repair and got me on my way! Sometimes it’s more important to consider how a business deals with problems rather than expec... Sometimes it’s more important to consider how a business deals with problems rather than expecting that problems will never occur, and Williams deals with problems well! Thanks guys! Update - this third set of axels is not good either … didn’t even last the weekend, and now the driver side axel exploded first time on the freeway… we will see what they say tomorrow… when I first bought the truck I replaced one axle with the stock axel and it lasted a year… then I went for the extended angle axels and a whole bunch of front end replacements… then the first set had grease flying out in a few weeks… they replaced them under warranty, and like 6 months later the driver side exploded and the passenger side tore… now the passenger side exploded and the driver side seems okay… I dunno if this brand is just junk, but this is not cool! Update - Randy spent a lot of time contacting the manufacturer do get precise specs on the equipment that kept failing - and after a lot of back n forth and calculations, we concluded that the 3-3.5 inch leveling blocks pushed the truck just a little too far - so he suggested rather than just replacing them with smaller blocks, that we replace the whole strut assembly with quick lift loaded assembly (which also look a lot cooler)… and problem with the axels has been solved! I really hope he’s getting comped for labor on these parts failures… because after getting the new struts and replacement axels installed, we found one final issue - upper control arm joints had failed (I’m guessing a systemic failure due to the failure of the axels many times) but as usual, he got me scheduled right away for the warrant repair on the ball joints… man if I would have went to other places with bad warranties, I’d be out 6-7 thousand in labor for these warranty repairs! It’s been frustrating and depressing at times, but they stand behind their warranties, they have the best warranties in the business, and through all the frustrations and issues, they always do everything they can to take good care of their customers! Thanks Randy, I appreciate ya!
Our vehicle got stranded in St Cloud and we didn't have any known mechanic. First place that we brought it to quoted $6,000 for the repair. Found Williams Auto repair and spoke with Jeff. They ended up saving us 2/3 of the original quote. Jeff and team very good to work with. Might even consider making them our regular mechanic an hour and a half away 😁
I’ve used this shop for various small things, but not frequently, as I am fully capable of doing most things myself. Upon needing an alignment, due to my location being walking distance from the shop, I brought my vehicle here. I had replaced the inner outer tie rods and cut the boots minimally for removal the night prior, noting a grease like goo inside my rack and pinion, with water beads inside it. The vehicle had been purchased six months prior from auction listing a flood loss, and hasn’t had a single issue since purchase. William’s stated on the voicemail they left “there was a problem with my car, call me back ASAP” and nothing further... William’s stated on the voicemail they left “there was a problem with my car, call me back ASAP” and nothing further. Three calls later I finally get someone, and I’m told I need a new rack and pinion. Keep in mind, they stated the rack was leaking all over the technician, and was blown, yet the Power Steering Reservoir was holding full of fluid, not contaminated and hadn’t had a whine or noise since purchase that would be indicative of this leak. I knew there was still some goo left inside the rack upon my replacement of the parts, which did not bother me. When asking if they would still do the alignment, though I was direct and harsh, they told me I was wrong on my assessment of the issue, that my provided information was incorrect, and their photos would prove I was wrong. To tell me something in such a manner, leave such a chaotic and stress causing voicemail, and to experience this was disheartening. I dropped the car off at nine am with a 3pm appointment figuring it might get the car in sooner, but instead I left, disgusted, disheartened, and disrespected. I know what to check for and look for on a bad rack. You treated me like I was stupid and I am not. Do better. By the way, Glenn’s took care of my car, it’s still not leaking, and you’re full of it. I’m glad you passed on doing the job, because I got out ahead.
