Wickstrom Plumbing Heating & Cooling

Proceed with caution. I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Wickstrom’s warrants it. I decided to go with another company at a fraction of the price, but the early red flags from Wickstrom: 1. $4k quote for running 16’ of above ground black iron pipe for a gas line. 2. Refusal to itemize the quote because, “their system isn’t capable of itemizing costs.” Either they’re pulling costs out of thin air and incompetent, or they’re lying to their customers. 3. When pressed, Wickstrom’s rep, Rochelle, attributed 40-50% of the cost estimate to home office overhead costs, which is actually unbelievable. 4. Incorporating excavation costs in a job that didn’t include excavation, even after being reminded twice the project required no excavation. 5. Wickstrom’s contacted Intermountain Gas for locator services before I agreed to the work. I appreciate the proactiveness, but it felt as if they were using Intermountain Gas to pressure me to sign the contract. 6. The incessant pressure to sign up for their monthly service membership. 7. The fact that Tyler Wickstrom and his extensive family have so many businesses, providing same or similar services, in this area that are actively registered with the Idaho Secretary of State.
